Happy Birthday to my baby's daddy!

Happy Birthday, Trey!  He turned 26 last Thursday, and we celebrated by going to dinner at Soby's!  Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well, so I decided not to order anything, but I still had a good time.  Trey thoroughly enjoyed his meal and dessert!
It seems like yesterday we were celebrating his 21st birthday together during our senior year of college.  We had just started dating and were about to become engaged!  I am humbled that God would give me such an incredible man to call "husband".  He is a man of God and I'm so thankful that he is the leader of our family.  Even more so now that we have a daughter on the way.  He has such a tender heart, a protective spirit, and a sweet sensitivity- I know that he and Megan Lael will have a special bond.  She will never doubt his love for her, and when it comes time to talk about important issues in a girl's life I know he will have an open heart and mind and know exactly what to say to her.  He is a great communicator, and that is an invaluable quality in a man.  He is humble, self-less, and never ceases to amaze me in the way he shows his love for me.   For sure, he is a rare gem!

We took our first bicycle carriage ride down main street.  It was such a nice night.  The poor guy looked like he was struggling going up those was probably my 15 extra lbs. :)

My aunt and uncle sent Trey a Daddy care package for his birthday- complete with Daddy hat, diaper changing gloves, diaper tongs, nose pincher, and goggles!

I gave him (among other things) a super soft bib for Megan Lael.  As cheesy as it may be I just love anything that says, "I love Daddy" or "Daddy loves me", etc.  This little girl already has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger!

We got to celebrate with Moma and Daddy the night before Trey's actual birthday because he had to meet a client in Columbia.

Trey's parents and Grandma came on Sunday and took us out for a birthday lunch!

27 Weeks/ 6 Months/ 3rd trimester

Last week we had a professional photographer come to our home and take some pictures of the two of us.  We haven't had pictures taken like this since our wedding, so we figured we'd take this opportunity to capture this incredibly special time in our lives.  Our photographer's name is Rachel Halsey, and she does this on the side.  She is on staff at Trey's firm and that's how we learned about her.  You can check out her website at  She's great!  Stay tuned for more pics!

On another note, I can't believe we have hit the third trimester!  I really can't believe how fast it's going by.  I'm still feeling pretty good, but definitely feeling rather large. :)  3 more months until our little girl is in our arms!

26 weeks (a week late) and time with the Ryan's!

Here we are at 26 weeks! Not too much going on- just growing! Still working on the nursery, and it's getting there slowly but surely.

Last weekend we went to Lexington on Saturday night to celebrate my Daddy's birthday. He treated us all to a yummy dinner at Shealy's! On our way out we had dinner with Jessica, Benjamin and Benson at Bellacino's, and ofcourse, we had to get some pics! :)

Look at these cuties in blue!

Aunt Jess with Megan Lael- she loves Jess already and let us know by giving us some nice kicks!
My small point and shoot is broken, thus the grainy picture.

25 Weeks! Taken 8/1/09

How far along?   25 weeks and 3 days
Total weight gain/loss:  Ready for this?  I sure wasn't....14 lbs.  Got weighed last Monday when I went in for my glucola test...maybe I was just having a bad day- maybe not.
Maternity clothes?  Of course
Stretch marks?   zip
Sleep:   Vivid dreams, and waking up a couple times a night
Best moment this week:   Passed the glucola test, and got to see my sweet little girl on the u/s again!  Megan came with us this time, and we all just sat there and oooh'd and aww'd.  The tech had to get a couple measurements that they didn't get at 20 weeks.  Everything looked great!  The little booger had her arm over her face, so it was really hard for us to see a good 3D picture, but we did get one picture of part of her face.
Movement:   Wiggling, kicking, and punching...constantly. :)
Cravings:  Not really
Gender:   Girl!
Labor Signs:  None
Belly Button in or out?  In
What I miss:   a good glass of wine
What I am looking forward to:   Making it to 6 months, and my next appointment on the 24th.   I'm also looking forward to getting my bedding!!
Weekly Wisdom:   It is really hard to find blue paint that doesn't look neon when painted on the walls.  I believe I have finally found the right shade though!  Thank goodness because it was starting to stress me out!  I had to find a light blue that wouldn't be too bright, but would match the blue in the bedding and bed skirt.
Milestones:  I would have to say passing the glucola test.  I'm just so glad I don't have to go back to the dr. and sit there for 3 hours for further testing.  On another note, I finished my registries at Babies R Us and Target with the help of my sweet sis!

Do you like my new blog design?  Well, I can't take credit for it because Jess did it for me!

Weekend at Lake Lure

On Saturday we went to Lake Lure with Matt and Molly!  Her aunt and uncle have a beautiful vacation home right on the side of the mountain, and the view is breathtaking!  We relaxed, played cards, went out to dinner lakeside on Saturday, and then had a quaint lunch in the little town of Chimney Rock on Sunday.  We walked around a bit to the tacky stores (which is quite amusing:) and got some ice cream.  Did you know that "Dirty Dancing" was filmed at Lake Lure?!  Thanks so much, Matt and Molly for a great time!

And as if you haven't seen enough of my pregnant belly, here are few more!  Of course, Molly and I had to take some together!

Me in my 26th week and Molly in her 24th week!

How beautiful is that view?!  Oh yeah, and the mountains, too.  Hehe.
