My labor and delivery was a dream. I can't sing that blessed epidural's praises enough. Seriously, whoever came up with that drug should have some sort of statue built for them in their honor. I would totally go visit it and get my picture taken with it. Just sayin'.
All joking aside, I actually sing our Lord's praises far above anything for so wonderfully orchestrating that entire day. My experience was beautiful, and Ruthie's entrance or rather, exit, was pain free and magnificent.
Megan and my mom...

Dr. Beck, of course, was there to supervise. :)
Just moments after her entrance into the world.
This T-shirt of Trey's has both of our girls' footprints on it.

You can see my picture with Lael like this here, along with our pictures with her in the hospital in November '09. It was WAY back in the day so I really had to search my blog archives to find that post. ;)
And yes, we were all pretty surprised at the amount of hair that she has. Although, she does get it honest.
Patricia Ruth meets her namesake, Patricia Lee.
Megan captured the event on video and Jess clicked away with the camera to seize every precious moment.
We praise God for a healthy, precious, second daughter. He has been merciful to us, and we are delighted to now be a family of four.
More to come, of course :)...
