in the delivery room

This was my best birth experience out of the three of them and that's saying a lot since the other two were both pretty great. I got to my room around 10 a.m. and ended up having Salem at 1:29 p.m. It was quick, PAINLESS and such a fun day from start to finish! God has been so gracious to have given us such beautiful and uncomplicated birth stories.

You can see delivery room pictures of Lael here and Ruthie here. Pretty neat to look back and compare. Since they were taken, ya know, so long ago and all. ;)

Can't have a baby without my momma and sis...

... or Jess! She and her camera were there to capture all of it. It was just a few short months ago that the roles were reversed! I can't express to you how neat it is to be able to experience these monumental moments together.

It's showtime!

And the award for biggest hair goes to...

My babies are getting progressively hairier.

I must not forget to mention that Trey was proud to have hand delivered his third daughter into my arms. He's becoming an ol' pro. We don't really even need a doctor there.
Kidding.

You can't put a price on this stuff right here...

When it comes to obstetricians this woman takes the cake. She has been so good to me and I'm so thankful to have had her there for my last two births. She delivers babies, goes to sleep, delivers some more babies and after a 24 or more hour period she pretty much looks exactly like this.

You can see her with Ruthie here.

Ummmm, my best friend looks more like my baby's mother than I do.

I'm okay with that. ;)

Oh, this man. There have been quite a few difficult times during the duration of this pregnancy; losing my dad to cancer in the beginning and being hospitalized for c-diff at the end, just to name a couple. Through all of it Trey has been a rock. Always supporting, understanding, comforting and loving the complex creature that I am. He is such an incredible God-given gift, one that even exceeds that of my children. I'm still in awe of the Lord's faithfulness in giving this man to me.
